Jim Ahearn is a nationally known tennis professional, consultant, and manager. Currently he serves as both CEO of the International Tennis Centre in Las Vegas and President of Ahearn Tennis Management Group, a service tennis management company created to design, implement, and supervise innovative programming and administrative needs at both public and private tennis club and resort facilities nationwide.
As a USPTA Professional-1 instructor, Jim also served as the Assistant Director of Tennis at the world-renowned resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to establishing and designing the successful Junior Tennis Academy at The Breakers in 1990, he also introduced and implemented a variety of diverse and creative tennis programs: a standardized teaching method for tennis professionals; a sports psychology seminar; an aerobic tennis program; and budget and marketing strategies designed to effectively track and promote these sports programs.
Jim currently serves as the National Director of Tennis Operations for ATMG overseeing multiple world class facilities around the country. These grand-slam facilities offer national and international professional tennis talents along with dynamic tennis programming and special event presentation as designed and managed by Jim through ATMG.
Mike Kraussman graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. While studying at the University of Chicago, Mike also served as a research assistant to Nobel Prize winning economist Robert Fogel.
Mike has an extensive background in institutional banking and finance. He served on the senior management team of two startup mortgage banking firms. Both firms were leading innovators that eventually sold at substantial profits, the most recent one acquired by Sallie Mae. Mike has also acted as a consultant within various areas of commercial banking.
He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for ITC Las Vegas. He is also a lifetime tennis player.
Charles Ahearn serves as Director of Information Technology for the International Tennis Centre Las Vegas. The photographs featured on our website and throughout our marketing materials were shot by Charles. He also has provided the expertise to design and implement all of the data and communication systems utilized within the tennis facility, including point of sale, back office, and public wifi systems.
Charles educational background includes vocational high school programs for networking and Microsoft Support Training, college courses in business management, computer programming, and network architecture, and course studies at MIT for computer programming.
Tom Spalla is a long time Las Vegas resident with extensive experience as manager in various Resort/Casinos on the Strip. Tom currently serves as Director of Sales & Services at the International Tennis Centre Las Vegas. His duties include the creation, sales, and implementation of our Swing Shift Program. This program is designed to accommodate Resort/Casino workers whose shifts conclude in the late night/early morning hours.
Tom has been involved in all phases of the construction of the International Tennis Centre Las Vegas. He is an expert in facilities maintenance and management. His 18 year old daughter, Maria, is a top local player giving Tom an avid interest in junior tennis.

Mental Strength Trainer
In 1989, Dr. Al met Jim Ahearn at the Cedardale Athletic Club in Bradford, Massachusetts. They combined their skills and created a program to develop mental strength for tennis players.
They utilized Jim's knowledge and understanding of tennis and Dr. Al's knowledge and understanding of developing educational programs and successfully made it a part of the tennis program at Cedardale. When Jim moved to The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL, they ran the program with the great success for the Junior Tennis Academy. During the summer months they also presented the program on Cape Cod at Ballymeade Country Club and New Seabury Resort.
Dr. Al's program centers around building the following skills: Inner Mental Practice, Changing Negative on Court Behaviors, and The Release of Negative Emotions during match play.
Dr. Al has a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, a Masters Degree in Education from Harvard University, and a Doctorate in Education from Boston University. He has also conducted mental strength training programs for golf, lacrosse, and gymnastics.
